One of my favorite public buildings in the north-west part of Copenhagen, Denmark is the Library at Rentemestervej. The cultural building by architects COBE and Transform looks like as a stack of books. The golden building has won several awards (e.g. Best Refurbished Building) and is both a library, a community center and an urban space uniting the neighborhood.

The building consists of 4 golden boxes with perforated aluminum
displaced in proportion to each other. At ground floor, there’s a children’s library, then a youth library, a library for adults and finally on top, a concert hall.

Great Library! Love books combined with public buildings!
